THE PAST AND THE PRESENT

This was a Journal started at the bequest of one Homer Spence prior to the Gulf War. It is largely  unedited. It concludes at the end of that conflict. It has and will be posted sequentially. Conversations with the homer. The war and women Journal 2003. The war journalist Ernie Pyle was quoted as saying America takes two years to turn into a military nation. Ernie Pyle was born August 3rd 1900. He died April 18th 1945. Eight hours before the full moon President Bush gives Saddam Forty-eight hours to get out of Dodge. The local peace gathering, march and protest against the war had demographics similar to the gulf war: a majority of women, far less than 1 percent blacks or men wearing ties, and more dogs than either.
